Since there is no valve option on the Race version, when used with non-res pipes, is it loud enough to override the fake pumped in engine note? i am guessing the insulation in the M5 is still too good to not hear the fake note over the actual exhaust? I know you can still defeat the fake exhaust note...just wondering how loud it is inside the cabin with windows up.
Yes it's loud enough, was thinking removing the fake noise too. Cold starts are very loud inside and after that is acceptable to drive with mine kids. Depending how you drive and what settings you select. Noticed this weekend when you drive up hill in lower gear ( under load ) it will be loud inside. Need to down shift so it's easier on the kids
For me it's fine I love exhaust noice :-)

Ya....I came from a GT350, and had SuperSprint strait pipes and Dinan muffler on my F80 before that, so I like me some noise too!

Signature tips. Scroll through the pics in the link below for comparison of the two options. basically the lemans don't have the cutout at the top.

Which one are your referring to as straight? One on the right? That would be signature, correct?

The valved system is pretty tame in Comfort setting, but it truly comes alive in Sport as you'll see in the video link above. I'd say if you really like your Eisenmann Race on the X5M, you'll love the Race system on the F90

Hey Mike...not sure if you already mentioned this, is this with the resonated or non-resonated center pipe?

Sounds good but what's the difference between this and a straight pipe all the way back. It looks like there are no resonator/cats or anything.

There is very small resonator on the back.
Don't know really if it makes any difference because of the size but I do love the sound.

It depends on what you want, mid pipes with/without resonator and what tips you want.
