Any updates for 2020 M5?

Thinking of planning a fall euro delivery (my 2020) car... any news on updates or tweaks for the 5ers? Strangely enough I'm debating a Porsche 992 vs an M5 but they are the only 2 cars that get me excited right now that I can throw a kid or two in the back seat (I have 6,4,2 year olds).

I suspect the 2020 F90 will get iDrive 7.0 (with the new instrument cluster look in the X5 / X7 / 8 / Z4) and possibly some additional paint choices.

The major refresh will be in July 2020 for MY2021 cars — that’s when the G30 and F90 LCI will start production.

hmm... i've always bought the lci cars as it seems to be when they finally get everything right.... but seeing the 7 series lci now i'm scared the m5 grill is going to grow by 400% like all the other models.

The M5 is one of the few good looking BMWs left. I'm afraid you're right - we are getting into another Bangle like era of hideous design.

These new monster grills are universally hated. I have a feeling I'm holding on to this one for awhile.

I had this exact same issue. I was thinking of the M5 Competition or the 911 C4S 2019. I just got the M5C. Love it. Glad i got it for now.

A 2020 model this early? I was thinking the 2020 model will arrive in march 2020.

Honestly I am not this fond of the iDrive 7.0 - it's just a gimmick... I mean, how many people have Siri and how often they use it? Maybe it depends and differs from person to person but the new cluster also is not really a beauty imho.

It's interesting how many of us were comparing P cars, before settling on the M5. I had ordered a 991.2, only to discover the dealer didn't have an allotment. By the time something turned up on a turbo, I had ordered an M5. To be honest, I've not regretted the way things turned out one bit. I'm always looking forward to my next drive in the five.

If I were BMW I would put in LCI new iDrive, Laser lights, and maybe tune up a little interior - switching to USB C, steering wheel like in X5 etc. However I do not regret taking pre LCI model. I can enjoy it now, and when you pick LCI model you are counting the time till next model will come, so there is no good choice. If you like what is currently on sales just take it and enjoy! Especially in M5 where we have engine from the previous generation so In my opinion it is really refined.

The current 4.4 is one of the best engines on the planet. It is glorious and I love the faces of the Tesla toaster drivers when they hear it....I definitely see jealousy. .

Actually it looks like the 2020 MY F90 will probably have no substantial changes from 2019.

I'm in a similar boat...I had the 2018 M5, but sold it a couple of months ago.

I've already ordered a 992 C2S for delivery next January/February.

I really don't like the look of the new 3 series instrument cluster.

I did--moved in a month ago....that's why I asked the P dealer to delay my build/delivery until next January/February when my wife's lease is up (she's driving the new X1 and I'm driving her old car for the duration of that lease).

Sorry to disappoint you but I know 10000% that IF your car is actually currently under production, it is without question 100% a 2019 model. 2020 production will not begin until the end of July and first possible pick up(euro) or US delivery will be August 2019 of ANY 2020MY F90 m5's

THANK GOD, I really dislike that new instrument cluster.
btw in middle east they market the car models a year ahead it's just a marketing strategy I found out when I travelled to London and asked a few questions that could be the reason why.
