Options lists are now with Australian dealers, my guess US dealers too.
*as of Friday 11th May.

Standard equipment, pricing of optional equipment and option packages are now changed.

Attached Standard Options List for Australian Specification

I am on a waiting list, allocations are expected to come in late June / early July.

I'm guessing a lot of Australian customers are wondering what you get for the +30k price premium.

Australian customers will see the following options now standard in addition to the Competition upgrades:
  • M Sports exhaust
  • Full leather 'Merino' (same colour options as the 'base' M5 excluding Aragon which now has full Aragon seats)
  • Bowers & Wilkins diamond surround sound system
  • Driving Assistant Plus
  • Parking Assistant Plus
  • Ambient Air package
  • 4 zone climate control
  • BMW gesture control
  • BMW M Display key
  • Soft-close function for doors
  • Roller sunblinds for rear window, electric and rear side windows, manual
  • Individual headliner Alcantara Anthracite
  • Floor mats with M5 Competition badge

Many thanks for the update. I'm #2 on my dealers list so doing color research at present. The added info is appreciated.

Cheers

The 2019 model year starts production in July so dealers should receive their allocations in early June. I'm first on the list with my dealer for a 2019 allocation so I can reply when I hear from them.

Since this is now supposedly a different model, any idea whether there will be separate allocations for M5 and M5C, or a single number that can be used for either?

I'm guessing the latter since it's really not much more than an option pack, and they really have no idea of the demand.

Same, mine has invited me to build mine next week, however I’m not sure if he’s jumping the gun. Will let you know...

Thanks. I doubt it but I wonder if 2019 will give us any new colors or options.

I clicked on the Bmwusa.com interest list for the CP, and they just sent me an email today saying to stay tuned for updates so I am thinking we are very close.

I received the same email.

While I would love it if the extra US Cost of the CP ($7,500?) included all of the items in the OP post, I sincerely doubt it in the US. That is, the CP will have a higher starting price, but I expect that we will still pay extra above that for the packages, options, etc. E.g., doubt it will include Full Leather, Upgraded Stereo, Driver's Assistance, etc. items at no extra cost. Hope I am wrong!

Allocations must be released prior to late June if production commences 7/1/18! How would they know what to build?

Be great if allocations came sooner then later.

I was indicated that it would be later in July for production, but I don't think anyone or anyone outside of Munich knows what is happening.

The options, and list in the OP are Australian Spec of the M5 Competition. The US will more then likely be very different. Australian cars have a much higher price due to tax's and come better equiped to justify the price.

Wish I could be more help but I'm not from the US, it was very easy for me to get the options list from the dealer so shouldn't be much trouble to get one from yours.

I know we went with Phones from small to big, but why do we need keys getting this big? Damn, figure out a credit card sized key or smth, this is silly. Carrying all this crap... is it necessary.

Why is a key like this even needed? Everything it offers could easily be built on an iPhone app.

Dealer confirms they only have what's already been posted on this forum. Also confirms no 19' allocations at any US dealer. I'm first on the list so hopefully I'll have one of the 1st deliveries of the CP.

What exactly does this mean?

So far:

1. No '19 CM M5 Allocations yet (I am #1 at my dealer).

2. BMWUSA Build configurator does NOT allow build of a CM M5. It only shows up as "Euro Spec. Depicted" "Future Car".

If I am missing something, please let me know!

It’s showing in their system so you are able to configure your order with the dealer. However, dealers don’t have allocations to place the order, nor is the online configurator up yet.

My dealer said outside of the Competition details we already know of there aren’t any additional options or additional colors available.
