This is the M Sport Exhaust (which is also on the Competition Package aka Competition Exhaust).

Part number 18308092607 is the MSport assembly that includes the front 2 clamps.

You will also need (2) Two of 18307560815 Butt-Butt Clamps as you can see in the pic below. BMW welded a short piece into the end of each pipe on the MSport exhaust for an easier installation.

onfireX5 - When are you installing it? Would love to hear the before and after audio for a post-delivery installation. I have the assembly and clamps in my cart and am ready to pull the trigger..

Inside there are less holes. One quick installation tip for you :

I measured a billion times last night to mark the cuts on the factory exhaust for today’s install. Each place I marked had a factory mark (dimple) already on the factory exhaust. That CAN NOT be a coincidence. Look for it on your stock pipes on the bottom.

To give you some more data :

0 dB gain at idle
0 dB gain at 2000 rpm hold (basically, a high idle)
6dB gain with stationary throttle blips.

WOT under load is the best improvement.

If I rated the Factory Base stock exhaust a 0
The Akra on my X5M a 8

I'd give the Competition Exhaust a 4 or 5. Definitely worth doing, definitely enjoyable. If you like it LOUD LOUD wait for a race muffler.

Look at the dimples BMW put in each pipe EXACTLY where the cut was required.....interesting.
