Nice find! Can't wait to see the comp package numbers! I think it will have to be a few seconds faster.

Good work! Man! That road surface needs some TLC maintenance! Note the ride on the straight-a-ways,...it's as smooth as a corn field!

That's not a bad time at all

Sport Auto had 650 HP Tuned F10 M5 and ran a 7:54

When tested Stock F10 M5 Comp ran 8:05

Not that ring times matter this much with these big heavy cars, but they're not exactly slouches

That is crazy impressive. The F90 M5 is the real king of sports sedan today.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio did a 7:32 with factory effort and P Zero Corsa with 60 thread wear.

Jaguar XE Project 8 is a very limited production run with custom body panels. Hardly considered a regular production car.

F10 M5's 7:54 was not tuned, it was the CP model. Though SA was surprised when they dyno the car it put down so much power.

This is pretty incredible. That is 1 second off the pace of a M4 GTS and on par with a Lexus LFA! It’s two cars in one package, an ultra competitive track car when the situation arises and a luxury family hauler for everyday driving.

For the sake of comparison, the AMG GT 4 door did it in 7:30. We'll have to wait and see for the M8 GC's lap time.

11 seconds slower than the GTS😉 M4 GTS lap time was 7:27 and the LFA was 7:38 with the nurburgring edition at 7:14

So, yes, very impressive for a big, heavy sedan

For what it is worth, I will gladly take a M5 Wagon with panoramic roof that does 7:45 around the ring.

I guess Alpina B5 Touring is as close as we are gonna get.

Speedydad was talking about SA's test on M4 GTS, it was 7:37.

Can't compare factory time to SA's time. SA only runs two laps for the ring time, first lap warm up and second timed lap.

But on the other hand, the rough surface here might keep the car makers from making too harsh ride stiffness in the cars

A lot of confusion all over the internet between the factory lap times and SA lap times.
As a remark, the last ones are more tangible by the customers compared with the ones realized by the factory pro drivers after many, many trilas.

This is the reason for testing so often on this track: close conditions to the ones met on the B roads.

F10 M5's 7:54 was not tuned, it was the CP model. Though SA was surprised when they dyno the car it put down so much power.
Interesting that F10 CP was 3 mph faster than the F90 on the straight . So much for the people thinking the F90 really dynos 100whp more than the F10 did lol . I think that CP obviously had a heck of a press tune though .

This is an independent sport auto time not a manufacturer time . Huge difference . For instance BMW claimed 7:55 for the F10 and SA only got a 8:05 .
