Catless exhaust - fuel smell inside while driving

Hey, got primary and secondary catless DP. Absolutely love what it did to the car, but... the smell behind the car is just foul, and I can sense it inside as well. I frequently drive my with kids for hours, and I don't want to slowly kill them with fumes.

What are my options to mitigate this? Anyone running 200cel cats and can share their experiences?

200 cell will definitely help. Is it coming from the engine bay with the ac on? If so check for any leaks around the clamps.

CTS Turbo, MAD and some others sell inexpensive 200 cell high flow cars that will stop nearly all the smell. They are not good enough cats to prevent a CEL so you will still need a tune for that.

The only high flow cats that will prevent a CEL are HJS or Gesi, used by Fabspeed, AA, Redstar and maybe a few others. They cost about 5 times as much.

I have a set of the CTS Turbo high flow cats that so would sell. I used them for about 6 months before buying MAD catless primaries. My wife notices the catless smell, but I rarely do.

Just so you know....... the fumes you can't smell when you had your cats on will still slowly kill someone.

+1 if you can smell this while you are driving down the road i fell there is a leak somewhere, if it is only when coming to a stop and the exhaust could come back towards the front of the car that is normal.
Long highway drive you shouldn't smell anything

The catted MAD is an excellent option. But if you are smelling fuel inside the car, you got a leak.

Normal during cold start the car is running rich to try and heat up the "cats".

Yes correct and any cold engine need a richer fuel ratio to run well also when standing still the exhaust fumes accumulate around the car.

I’d bet you have a leak between the primary and secondary. It happened to me and was a result of faulty clamps. Once I fixed it, I haven’t smelled it again.
