CTS Catted DP's

Has anyone tried the CTS DP set with the 200 cell cats? If so, opinion on fitment and quality, sound, and did it throw a CEL?

No smell, but CEL. Fitment fine once I test fitted primary and secondary together a few times out of the car. Should have done that first rather than assume they would easily mate together since there is not much space to fiddle with the pipes in the car.

Thanks. If having to figure out how to resolve the CEL, seems it would be better to go catless in my situation.

I have a flash tune so haven't looked into options for removing the CEL with a piggyback, etc. that won't interfere with my flash.

Thank you for this. So looks like this goes into the downstream position and is supposed to resolve the CEL. Curious, what downpipes are you running and how many miles do you think you've put on them since the mini cats? Do you have a flash tune? I'll have to reach out to the vendor and see what they say about primary and secondary downpipes.

I was running ER primary/secondary DP's until today. I took out the secondary because it was just too loud. I have had the mini cats for a couple of weeks and have had no issues. Others have been running them for a long time and not lights. My last flash was off road only so no light. I went Dinan so had to figure out how to deal with the light and that was my solution.

Do you have an aftermarket muffler? I don't want to make it a nuisance to drive or have drone. I'm going to keep my stock resonator/mufflers but wanted DP's to help with back pressure with the power I'm making now. I'd hate for the primary cat to let loose and cause havoc.

Had the 02 little buddies on x5mc with primary cats, they worked for 3 days then CEL. Maybe I'll give big daddy's a try?

So the big daddy's (sounds so funny saying it) works well? How long have you had the set up for? *whoops just read it…. Nice! Maybe I'll give it a try.

I was running DP's and full Remus. That was too loud so I swapped out to Dinan axle back which was quieter. Decided it was still louder than I wanted. Now I have Primary DP, stock secondary, Remus middle pipes and Dinan axle back. So far seems like a good balance. I figured since the primary was closer to the turbo it was better to leave that on and swap back in the secondary.

pros:
higher flow
more power
better sound
smell not noticeable

The only negative is the check engine light.

Decided on a MAD catless set with your big daddy mini cats. Fingers crossed…

Just recently installed Frequency Intelligence 200 cell primary with MAD secondary and the sound is amazing and no cel. Paired w a Remus axle back. Tame with valves closed and beastly with open.

Plan has been aborted since doing a test hit and getting bad results. Canceled the mini cats and just got the catless MAD set inbound. Probably will end up going bootmod, etc. and go custom route and disable the CEL.

BM3 stage 2 tunes disable as standard, even the OTS versions. I believe there is a selection of optional configurations you can choose this from even in non Stage 2.
