Seriously!!! I was like, I can't imagine that I'm the first customer to walk through these doors and ask this question!

It fits fine. Just move the passenger seat up a little. I had to do that in both my e90 and e92.

Cool. Yep. Sounds like it's going to be annoying, but doable. Don't care about it being annoying. Just wanted to make sure it was doable cuz I want the coupe! Thanks!

Cool! Yeah, the more I'm reading these post, the more I think that a coupe shouldn't be an issue. Yeah, it seems like a pain in the ass, but I was more concerned about whether it was even possible to put in a rearward-facing baby seat. Thanks!

Your probably better off getting a sedan if you have a infant who rear faces in the car seat. When I had my first kid, I was driving around in a sport coupe and after a while it was starting to get to me. I swear I would never sell that car but once your backs start hurting from putting in and lifting the kid (they gain weight fast) in and out multiple times a day and "space-needing phobia" takes over, your love for the sport coupe wears out fast. Sold that car and got a sedan, never looked back.
I owned quite a few coupes but it's one of the things you give up after having a kid or kids. |

I have a 335 coupe, and yes, our baby seat DOES fit in the rear, however, it isn't easy to get the baby in/out. 17 month old...must face rear of vehicle (law in my state) until two years old. It will be easier when I can turn the seat around facing forwards and get him in/out from the passenger side of the car. Also the front passenger seat will not recline to where I would want it to if I were sitting there, my Wife is comfy over there, so it's all good. She has a sedan, so we take it for trips when baby is along for the ride.

go for the coupe! I liked the lines on the coupe better than the sedan....this car is for ME, not the baby!

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. The sedan makes more sense, seems more practical and seems like less of a hassle, but DAMN I love the looks of the coupe much MUCH more!!!

Just get an E93. That way you have the coupe feel and just need to drop the top for ease of getting the kid in and out.
At least that's how I hope it works. Showing these two threads to my wife gave me the OK to get my E93. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92323 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71596 |

I was in the same boat as you about a year and half ago, sold my M3 (E46) to buy a 335 (E92) then we found out we were having twins, so I canned that idea and bought an e90. Mind you our main family car at the time was our Maxima but we quickly found out even that wasn't big enough so we bought a Ford Flex, now we have the room. Good luck.

My guess is the e93 does not have top anchors on top in the rear? In the 2nd thread, the top tether of the car seat isn't used, very bad idea. You can still use the top tether rear facing. Bet the owner didn't go through the manual thoroughly. Having a convertible is great but it is definitely not the ideal car for transporting infants/kids around in car seats. |
