New M5C- only 120 miles on it- so I'm still getting used to it- and I let my fellow M5 forum members down the other night a new URUS was rolling down the road next to me- end of date night and had 4 people in the car- but I was playing around and dropped down into second and gassed it a bit next to the URUS- to see if he would play- and he just took off- and I wasn't ready so then I took off after- and the URUS didn't look back. It was on a busy road and a short run From 40 to about 75 ...yikes! I knew they were quick but I wasn't ready and took one straight to the chin.
Next time I'll be ready. And should represent the M5C a bit better. |

If it really was going to do damage to the cars bmw would have it limited or would void your warranty if they saw you exceeded the rpm or 106mph max recommendation for the first 1200 miles. I am usually pretty good with recommended procedure- but with a rare Urus sighting in Utah I couldn't pass up the opportunity. 😜 |

From those lower speeds he just needed the smallest jump as onfireX5 stated.
I dont consider that a loss but instead a moment in time where one driver was "more" ready. What modes were you in?

That wasn’t really a loss...first off you should never be driving in economy mode...I recommend you start your car in sports plus everything except suspension (you can keep that in comfort mode) and stay that way the whole drive and always be ready...I always have my head on a swivel...my young daughters help me find other interesting cars to drive next to...you know what I mean

If you pick the right color the Urus is much nicer in person vs pics......I am debating if it will be my next car but need to drive it first

I see a good number of them around here (more than M5s). They look best in wild colors, like most Lamborghinis, but might be a bit much for a DD. I used to daily drive a viper acr (don’t ask...haha) and I would think the Urus would be sorta between that thing and and the M5. I get a good amount of attention with the M5 (all good so far), but it’s more than enough for me. Even just having a blue M5 has received a lot more attention that my previous silver one. The Urus is cool though. Even non-car people I know are impressed with it. 👍

Being fair...it’s a loss. It’s a fun loss - but it’s a loss.
I am surprised and I’m not - about the koss...Urus is a 122ish MPH trapping car. M5CE is at least a 127 MPH trapping car (I’ve trapped over 129 with mine)...but with it being in comfort it won’t kick down properly to the optimal gear - and with the Urus driver in the sport/more aggressive mode - that is the win. It’s all in fun - but your car is faster than what that race showed - quite a bit actually. Both drivers in the right mode and on point for the start and wouldn’t be very close at all. Cheers. |

The Urus is not the best looking SUV but still pretty cool to see. One I saw was just a bland (for that vehicle) dark gray with matching wheels - regular colors just don't suit it's character.
However, it's going to hurt some feelings. Beware. |
