Carbahn stage 1 tune

Has anyone had a Carbahn tune done and gotten a dyno? I had one installed about 18 months ago and finally took it to the dyno about 6 weeks ago. The numbers were disappointing and seemed very much like stock. They had a dyno on a stock M5 CS and I was a bit below that, which I would expect stock. I would think a tuned car would be much higher than a stock CS. I talked to Carbahn and then said they had a poor tuner back then (not sure why it took me to contact them for them to inform me of this) and had me bring it into the dealership where they re-did the flash. It definitely feels like there's more power, but I took it back to the dyno and still stock-like numbers. I just seeing if anyone else has gotten the numbers after the install.

My stock TUNE base M5 (only has CIA, secondary downpipe and cat back exhaust) dyno'd at 552 on an AWD DynoJet Dyno.

That is in Uncorrected. Should be higher in SAE or STD given it was in July. Do you have the run files to adjust?

I apologize for my earlier post where it was making you download my files. I'm not overly familiar with links/images. I have updated my previous post with jpg files.

The place I got the dyno done, said they typically see 610 on a stage 1 type tune on the Mustang dyno. I believe they showed me the results for a different stage 1 tune with some other upgrades and it was 620.

For a stage 1 tune, 10% over stock is common. 15% for stage 2 and 20% for a custom stage 2 tune. Maybe the OP is in the ballpark. I don’t really trust “Dynojet conversions” from other brands of dynos though Mustangs contend to read lower.

I don't really use the Dynoject conversions either, but when you compare 2 cars on the same equipment, you should see the differences. I'm concerned that a stock CS had about the increase in hp you'd see from a stock Competition. Regardless of the equipment, all things the same, a stage 1 tuned Competition should be higher than a stock CS. Especially given Carbahn gives a projected 100+ hp increase.

I have a carbahn stage 1 on my pre-LCI M5 Comp and although I didnt dyno it, it was without a doubt night and day. I realize without actual dyno numbers its all speculation but there is no doubt the car is on another level from stock after the tune. I had mine done at GMP in charlotte, and waited while they did it. They had some initial 'issues' and my rep said the tuner from Carbahn wrote my tune while they watched. I assume the tune should perform pretty much the same on any apples:apples build, but there is no way you wouldnt notice the difference over stock.

The dyno shop address is in GA, which has 93, so I would assume 93. If it was out west, I would not assume 93.

Carbahn is having the dealership do some testing and logging on the car in a couple weeks so hopefully I'll get some clarification.

I am confused, is the first image a stock run on your M5, showing 664 wheel HP?

No, the first one is the first time I went to the dyno after the flash. When I showed them those numbers, they said they would re-flash it. After that it pretty much stayed the same.

ahh gotcha. Did you happen to do a run when your M5 was stock?

No unfortunately I didn't. But the second run on the second sheet is for a stock M5 CS and I'm below that. I should be quite a bit above that with the tune.

I’m scheduled to get the stage 1 tune there in April. I hope I have better luck. :/
