Many people use racechip here and are very happy. I would not make your purchasing decision based on this thread....

it was installed properly. it is plug and play. it sounds like there are a few defective units. they should qc them before someone gets hurt. the car behaving this way was dangerous.

racechip is sending me a replacement. they were quick with the return label.

support won’t let me talk to a supervisor. i’ve asked Roman 3 times and he refuses.

just an fyi F90 forum used to be quiet and it would take a week before someone replied so i didn’t think it was unusual when i didn’t receive notifications. F80 forum always notified me of posts on my threads.

Many people are happy and I genuinely feel good for them. Except the one that has issues I feel bad for him. I'm still not going to do it on a 6 figure car. Perhaps I'm not balling like most of you, so I will do what's best for me and enjoy the stock power and sleep easy at night.

Sure, that's absolutely your call and an understandable position at that.

However, if that's your position, then why chime in on this thread and throw shade (that readers for years will interpret as laying blame) on the product when you've 1) no interest in it yourself and 2) no experience on which to base derogatory comments.

I've run JB4s on 10+ M-cars for 7+ years and have one right now in my M8. It's installed right alongside a Racechip, i.e. they're both installed simultaneously and I can turn one off and the other on at will from my phone. The installation of both was easy. That said, BMW made it more complicated than it should be because they chose to use the same connector type for multiple purposes--not their problem I guess since they don't design these engines to be tinkered with.

I am here active in this forum and I am one of the most active RaceChip reseller that have a lot of access to their system and I know a lot.
So, why not letting me helping you too?

I have sold hundreds of units to F90 M5 platform alone, and I have tear apart F90 so many times, I know it inside out.

Even though if it is not a product that I carry, but I am very familiar with it, I still do offer a helping hand.
