Got a pretty good chip in the windshield and insurance is letting me pick my installer. I'm in 07716, can anyone recommend someone they've used before?

When I had to replace my windshield in NYC, my insurance (Geico) only covered if I used Safelite and not BMW OE glass so I had Safelite do it and they did a great job. I do not notice any difference between the glass before and after other than all of the little stone chips and the large crack being gone.

Did they have to do calibration of sensors and everything else? Did you lose that functionality?

They did not have to calibrate anything. There was an issue with the automatic wipers acting funny but I brought it back and they saw immediately that the sensor was not sitting flat and fixed it in a few minutes. They never hooked anything up for a calibration.

Safelite calibrated mine. The Drove around in my X5M for a while, it annoyed me.
