OP please give us the scoop on the new exhaust.

Are you able to dampen the sound when you want to? i.e. when you're sneaking home late at night and don't want to awaken the whole neighborhood.

Haha! It is a big change. I was afraid it was going to be too loud, but it really sounds good. I watched many videos on YouTube but nothing compares to hearing it live. The burbles are much, much louder, specially on downshift. At take off - or at a hard acceleration from a roll - it is throaty and generates a deep sound. I had a F06 (M6 grand coupe) prior to my M5C that I had installed an Akrapovic exhaust and though I would say the Akra is more refined, the Armytrix is still a monster of a system. You can close the flaps to mute the sound, but it's still pretty loud regardless. I have the remote hooked up to the system, but after install, the system actually works with the car's settings and no need for the remote control on the flaps. In other words, when I switch to sport plus on the engine setting, the flaps open up automatically.
