The dealer is telling me that the Money Factor is at .00128.

When I plug in the numbers on Lease Hacker it shows a payment of $1222.

I have asked the dealer to send me the details showing MF, Residual, Fees, Tax and anything else. They have been a little reluctant to send anything which makes me wonder what they are hiding.

It's like 12.9% off with the base MF.. still a deal that's likely not going to be matched/beat elsewhere.. Act quick before someone else does..

Just be polite and tell the dealer that you calculated the lease based on the information given and its coming to $1222. Lets see what he has to say. If he's serious in making this deal, he would get back or else move on!

The Mf is not at .00128. I have been finding it impossible to find a dealer to get me buy rate with over a 10 percent discount t

With tax (what is it? 9% there?) ~$1300 looks about right.

Leases are really all over the place with the M5 because you have all these variables like comp or non comp, and then you can fully load the damn thing from $115k to $140k. $1300/tax incl. with first payment to nothing out of pocket on a 12k/36 lease for cars under the $125k mark is just about what it ends up being, give or take.

Over the last few months I negotiated nationwide for 2019 or 2020 M5 Competition Lease or Purchase. I ended up purchasing a 2020 last Saturday.

Some dealers were not cooperative and some were. In many cases we simply agreed to disagree on the best pricing and there were no hard feelings. So just because you cannot come to agreement with the dealer on the percentage below MSRP for your deal, this does not mean you cannot continue to have a good relationship with the dealer and the applicable salespersons. Who knows, you may want to get a car from that dealer in the future.

One thing I would point out is that if you find substantially the car that you like, you may want to focus on the big picture and not worry about and an inconsequential-- amount (as you define it). This way you can end up with the car that you want rather than a car that is not what you're looking for that you settled on for larger discount (or car that you need to wait 3+ months for on an order). In my case, I definitely felt that I could have saved another $2,000, but I may have missed the deal entirely (e.g., car sold to another, etc.).

Question: for those that contact many dealers when casting a wide net in search for an M5, how do you all communicate with them? Email? Phone? Both?

I always contact them directly by email (not a shortcut "contact us" from a website). I find their emails by clicking on the "about us" tab and finding a team list. I will always email a sales manager and CC the General Sales Manager. Most often I get a reply from the GSM first, especially when it is after-hours.

I really prefer to communicate with the GSM. They get you an answer quick, w/o and BS.

GOT IT DONE!

I had a conversation about how the numbers were not adding up with the finance manager and he admitted to having the MF wrong on their side. He made the adjustments and BOOM!

Pulled off the following deal

2019 M5C
-MSRP/Retail $127,995.00
-Selling Price $108,795.00
-Incentives $2,500.00
-Residual Value $75,517.05

-Monthly Payment - $1222

Picking her up next week!

I want to thank everyone here for all the help and insight. I would never have been able to get this dont without the amazing community!

You sound more like a dealer to me
Well jokes apart, why can't he have it both ways when so many of us did? Everyone here shares their experience either to help others or to get help. Please be considerate and supportive. That's the whole point of this thread.

That's definitely an odd spec. No carbon roof, but has CCB's. Good deal either way for the MSRP though

Likewise. Especially when you're making 10-15 dealers compete for your business. I even use a spreadsheet to track things... that's much harder with voice calls.

Yeah. I'd rather pay a bit more and get a desireable spec lol.

Finally made a deal work.
Singapore grey with silver stone interior
119k sticker
36 mo/12k
0 down

$1153/mo. Picked up today. Got lucky in TX with tax credits that got me a payment closer to our CA friends. Getting used to this thing. Lots of torque and tech
