On a cold start, or even when it's warmed up, my 2021 X5MC takes about 20 seconds to drop from the higher idle down to its normal 600-700 rpm idle. I always wait the 20 seconds.

I think it's important to realize that the competition model has solid engine mounts and they don't give so any kind of misfire no matter how slight will shake the car
