I knew every inch of the M5 and used to throw it into corners, so far with the RS6 I don't get that confidence, but it's early doors and the rear wheel steering in the RS6 does make it corner well, I might just need to be more ballsy.

The mmi in the Audi is miles better than the M5, small things like the screens are built in flush - the M5 looks like someone has stuck an iPad to the dash aftermarket.

Rs6 exhaust sound is better imo

M5 seats are the tits, hands down the best seats.

The RS6 in comfort or eco mode is like driving a 7 series or S class.

I averaged 13mpg in the M5 but so far in the RS6 it's around 23.

On the looks I do miss driving the m5 it was such a sleeper, the RS6 rims at 22 are ridiculous and I thought it was a little over styled... Saying that as each day's passes I am starting to love the looks.

To answer your original question about the interior I think they are both very nice places to be, for me the RS6 is a bit cleaner and looks a more modern.
carwow has done a lot of drag races and the RS6 is unfortunately very slow.

however the interior is probably the best out of all. even better for you, you can just go get one! in the US there are still no deliveries until nov or dec.

I love how people call a car that can do 0-60 in 3.6 seconds while also weighing over 2-tons, fitting a family of 5, their dog(s) and stuff, "very slow."

Seriously, is this not enough power for a car that will ultimately be stuck in traffic most of the time and will never see a track.

Ha! It's basically apples to apples! I wonder if an M5 "Estate" will ever be offered....

When spending 100k+ for a luxury item I kinda want it to be as good or competitive to its peers. Over half a second is a huge difference. I had a deposit for one until the reviews started trickling out and that was after the audi USA order shenanigans

Would be amazing to see a m5 touring in this space. The 2021 e63s wagon seems really great, though never drove it to compare. But I can't imagine you lose in this space, so much as which suits your style the most.

I never understood why some mainly judge a full fledged and heavy weight luxury sedan/wagon on the tiny differences of a few numbers.

Carwow typically looks at the lateral performance and static, but doesn't judge the much more important transversal and dynamic behaviour (cfr. driving through a chicane with dynamic roll, pitch and yaw).

Really, the carwow test is only qualifying a car for max 5% of its capabilities.

LOL
Audi fans were begging for the Avant in the US for 20 years. But I would not touch one if it has DRC system. Epic Failure of Audi that they don't want to give up on.

One heck of a compromise if you ask me! How's the RS6 so far?

To be fair it was defo the right choice for me - it's also amazing how many people love the RS6, pop to the supermarket and you useally come back to someone walking around it! That can be good or bad I guess!

My only quibble is that it doesn't feel like a £115k car, but then I also got that feeling with the M5, finance has fucked the pricing of cars imo.

Such awesome cars.

Did you consider a B5 Touring?
