For me its the Radenso Pro M on a Blendmount with mirror tap. Used a V1 for years but the newer blind spot monitors on Hondas, etc made it one chatty bitch in the last few years. Even tried the bluetooth dongle with the V1, but still chatty with many false alarms. Did some research and the Pro M has the best anti-falsing software on the market in many reviews. Range is very good, company support is great. Have not missed the arrows as yet. It goes off, I slow down. Arrows helped if it was behind me to locate the cop but that was not very often. One note of caution, the Mirrortap was not easy to install until I did it from the back of the plug in the mirror. As for full install systems, the Radenso RC M with Anti Laser Priority is the best around but you are looking at $6K with install. It is the bomb but pricey. Good luck. A note for even cleaner install using the blendmount and/or mirrortap.
Drill a small hole in the last black piece (the part that wraps the stem). Run the pins from the mirror tap thru it so the wire is concealed more so. |

Nice job. Thought of that too but every time I go out to do it it’s 4000 degrees. 🥵

The visor mount holds it tightly under the visor. I've used this type of mount ever since the very first Escort came out, over 35 years ago.

Thank you I went ahead and used the blendmount for the time being. It is a big detector tho so if I can't get used to it, I'll grab the clip and move it. |

My dad has the full install K40 on his Alpina. I thought it worked well.... but the reviews say otherwise.
I'll plan on getting the escort 360c. that, combined with waze, should be a good setup. $2500 for the full install of the 360 is a bit steep! |

I like the way that looks. You are right, more discrete than I would have thought.

My V1 saved me a ticket a few years back with the counter and arrows. The BMW and Charger that slowed when I did obviously had detectors (judging by the way they slowed [I already slowed as I ended up with a couple/3 miles of alert]) that didn't have the counter. CHP #1 passed and they sped-up. I had a forward and back arrow with 2 still in the counter so I stayed "slow". A couple miles down the road I see Mr's. BMW and Charger pulled over by the trailing CHPer. I've never seen this "bait" maneuver before and was extremely happy I had the arrows AND counter.

Just got nailed in AZ yesterday while using V1. Not one beep from V1, I am guessing AZ state police still use K band. I had to turn off K band on V1 a few years ago because of all the non-stop false signal from lane departure or something like that in the BMW 550i. Just forgot about it and never tested in M5 to see if it still has non stop beeps. Anyways he clocked me at 93 in a 75. Great thing is that AZ lets you take a online driving class to dismiss ticket if its your first one in 12 month period. No points or reporting to insurance co. Still gonna cost $250. Maybe time to upgrade radar detector. Anyone from AZ can confirm that state police around Apache county on I40 still use K band? |

i have 2 v1's sitting in my toolbox. Same deal here, always falsing in the city and the laser is always triggered via idrive's gesture control.... however down south in the sticks the V1 is still very good. My 360c picked up a State Trooper's Ka like 1/8th of a mile away. Not quite the same range as a V1 but it still saved me. he was hidden well in a perfect spot, angled around a concrete barrier
