M1 & M2 Hesitation...

Hi!

I was driving the car and the engine was up to temp when I tried to activate M1 settings and all I got was a flashing M1 on the dash board display. I then tried M2 and got the same thing. I waited about a minute and tried M1 and at that time M1 settings were activated. The car has 15.5K miles and this was the first time that I have experienced that behavior. Any ideas?

Thanks!

It depends on your settings and driving conditions. If the driving conditions don't meet your settings, the m mode won't change. It's in the manual. Not sure what year you have but here's the excerpt from my 2020 manual.

Hope that helps and alleviates any concerns.

Yea this happens when i put my foot on the gas and try to hit the buttons, usually i have to back off the gas and then put it into the right mode and then back on the gas. Not sure why.

I've noticed you cannot activate m1 or m2 while the gas pedal is depressed. Something else to consider.

Ah cool. Must depend on what settings are behind m1 and m1, as I'm definitely not able to.

if you have traction control and dsc off you can't turn them off while the car is accelerating because they're probably in use

I was able to change modes while accelerating this morning so it definitely depends on what your setup is.
