Best OBDII adapter

Hi, I previously had an Audi S4 and upgraded to '19 Competition. On the Audi, I had used the Carista adapter and app to do some settings on the car and reset service indicators. Is there any recommendations on the best adapter and app to do the same thing on my F90? I'd like to be able to read any codes, reset service indicators and if one is available, so some coding if it's possible with the adapter. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I used this one along with e-sys to code my F80:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Looks like there are others the had success with a similar combo for the F90. There's a lot of good/well-documented threads for the F80 here that would loosely apply: https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=631
There are some specific threads here and there for the F90, so if you have the technical aptitude, you could likely poke in e-sys, search for threads with similar things you're looking for, and make it work.

If you'd rather something more user-friendly, look toward bimmercode with a BT adapter, which they sell on their site: https://bimmercode.app/cars/bmw/5-series-m5/g30/

Are you able to reset the service reminders, etc with either of these. I was looking at them and it looks like they have quite a bit of coding functions, but didn't know if they would work for resetting reminders, CEL codes, etc.

I've cleared some codes with e-sys (an external transmitter within anyway), it was sort of an all or nothing without the ability to read them if I recall correctly. So again, enough to be dangerous if you care to poke around.

I don't have any direct experience with bimmercode, just know it to be a more direct and cleaner option, but also more limited because of that. It looks like the same people make bimmerlink, which could both read and clear.

If you want the BT style I recommend UniCarScan. Got it from scantool direct in the UK. Haven't had any issues with mine using Bimmercode and Bimmerlink with it.
