Who has used 93 before? I've never tried it, but I've heard you can feel a difference? How does it work? You mix a little with 91? I have MSR intake, and exhaust. What about mixing 15% E85? Is that different than 93?

Stock car you won't notice it. I've tuned all of my Bimmers and used maps that work with 93. Definitely feel the difference in that case.
There's more info out there, as well as here in the forums, but this should get you started with mixing e85 in your tank: https://bmwtuning.co/%E2%80%8Bethano...thanol-blends/ (Also, your sig mentions 8 sp DCT - F90 uses the 8sp ZF torque converter automatic transmission)

I have 92 octane here in WA. I like running a 93 octane tune compared to a 91 octane tune; as I feel butt dyno (still have to do 91 oct logs on draggy) is faster.
In previous cars I've owned. I've ran people with same car and mods, but they had a 91 oct map and I ran the 93 oct map and I always beat them. It's winter here in WA so just to be safe I just run the 91 oct map as I don't want to mess with adding Octane Booster or even E85. If you're not running a tune yet; I wonder if you could do some logs and see if it helped. Be interested to know. |
