At first I tried one from another major non-BMW CF maker, the fitment and alignment were absolute crap, Helen Keller could've built a better-quality one.

I ended up buying it from BMW of Manhattan along with a CF Engine cover set and Expansion Set, they've beat everyone else's price for it too. It fit like OJ's glove and perfect.

BMW fit and finish is top notch when it comes to carbon fiber accessories. Expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

I'm curious to know which company you tried first, though.

100% agreed and not worth the frustration and my time wasted. The company was not RW Carbon, it's the other one in CA that is the major supplier for CF parts, but their CS has always been top notch letting me return it because it was so f-ed up, they previously did replace my CF interior trim pieces that were out of spec too.

Great fitment. That front end looks so fantastic and cohesive now with your other CF parts.

Here's what the non-branded $400 one looks like, I wasted so much time originally trying to fix it but there's no way and I was happy they refunded me 100% of my money, the 3rd party seller was fantastic in helping me as it wasn't their fault either.

That’s whack. So glad you got the good one in the end.

The engine cover and extension set was $2700 USD delivered, best price compared to all ones here.

Hahah listen that’s ALL that matters is that you like it. If I had excessive funds sitting around I’d probably go for it after I’ve done every other possible mod lol

It was $800 and change, contact Armando Diaz the wholesale parts manager, tell him I referred you and they probably need to order it which is a couple of days and he will invoice you from PayPal. He’s a great guy.

I do have an OEM black one for sale in the members classifieds if you want non carbon fiber.

Sounds like another autotecknic cf failure and perhaps Ben who I know sells a lot of their stuff?

I’ve had like 50% success rate on autotecknic products. Even less on their cf. had a cf oil cap that I had tos end back as it started delaminating within a few months. And their steering wheel trim is terrible fitment despite sending me 2 of them. And their other cf trim the alcantara doesn’t match oem and the plastic welds they use to hold the cf trim to the back plate is already coming apart.

Spot on with your assessment, after several purchases, tries and returns their stuff is probably no better than the junk from eBay or Alibaba. In the beginning, I really thought their products are better, nope...
