Yokohama vs Mich vs Pirelli

My 2020 M5 came with Yokohama's, so far very happy with them. Quiet, Smooth and does not pick up small stones and has great road feel. 2100 miles on them. Anyone have comments on these tires?

My M8 came with Pirellis from the factory, I made the dealer swap wheels with another M8 that had the same wheels, but Michelin tires. I refuse to ever own another set of Pirellis. Don’t have any thoughts on the Yokohamas, sorry.

I replaced my factory Pirelli (after they only lasted 8K miles with a set of Continental which I'm very satisfied with as they already lasted more than the Pirelli did, and they handle great in the wet.

I haven't tried running a set of Yokohama tires before but some of their products have decent reviews online. My to go to tire brand for my BMW have always been Michelin. I have managed to steal a good deal of this tire from 4wheelonline.

The Yokohama's on my M5 have proven to be excellent tires. My only two complaints would be the replacement cost, which is more than Michelin, and the tread life. My rears went 12,000 miles. I could maybe have squeezed a couple thousand more out of them, but felt more comfortable at 12. I'm pretty sure that's less than I've seen reported on the Michelin's. Both the grip and the ride have been very good, along with their being fairly quiet. If Michelin made an equivalent tire to their 20 in a 19 I would make the switch for the extended tread life, and save some money at the same time.

I took Euro delivery in May of '19 and now have 26,000 miles on the OE 19" Yokohama's. Time for new rear tires but fronts still have plenty of tread left. I don't drive gently either. The car has been down the 1/4 mile plenty of times with a best time of 10.5 seconds.
