Thanks....seems to not have any in stock at the moment. I guess that’s the next challenge.

Damn that's interesting. Maybe it was timing?

Possible, it was in June of this year. Found a better optioned car with the same exterior and interior in Ohio, had it shipped to my local dealer and still came out about 4 grand ahead.

How do we feel about this one? 2018, 26,000 miles, $80K.

An accident was reported, and it gives no detail on how severe. Can someone run the VIN?

Seems kind of steep. Especially with an accident. If you ever want to sell it, it'll definitely take a ding because of the car fax

Oh wow that's a month before me! I was getting an X3M though so maybe it's the vehicles?

Sorry you experienced that.

Yeah, who knows how severe, but I think I’m cancelling any car with an accident reported. No reason to mess with it.

I also found at least 2 with no accident, but windshield replaced? Anything I should know about the e90 windshield or just coincidence?

Don't forget, not every accident makes it to carfax. If you fix it yourself and no police report, most of the time it doesn't make it on there. My friend bought a car that was flooded but had a clean carfax. He found out about it after going to the same mechanic for routine maintenance

Haven't heard anything specific about the F90 windshield, but BMWs are notorious for thin, easily cracked, windshields. Hell, Ive replaced about 3 in five years on my F80s.

Car is being sold in Texas. Might have been hail damage which will show up as an accident on the report. Ask the dealer.

This has been there for more than 3-4 months or maybe more. Wheels are 19, and it's missing bowers, drivers assistance from what I can see.

For me, it’s a red flag it’s been there 4 months. The options aren’t super important to me, but it’s strange. Small town dealer though, perhaps not a big market?

This 2018 M5 with 8,200 mi just came to Classic...I know the price is high, but is it possible for anyone to run a VIN? Slightly spooked about horror stories of tuned M5s skipping through, but typically not sold by BMW dealers.

WBSJF0C52JB283364

Driving Assistance Plus
Executive Package
20" M wheels 706M w/ perf non
Alu Carbon Structure Dark Trim
Bowers & Wilkins sound system

Am I safe buying from a BMW dealer if they state warranty is good and it hasn’t been tuned?

tell them you are worried about possible mods with prior owner. Tell them you want the car scanned for tuning. If it's CPO it helps, it probably went thru some sort of protocol before getting that label. But if it's just "yea the car has warranty" you need to triple check.

Thanks Trevor. I’m pretty serious about buying the car if it checks out, so what’s reasonable here? I am thinking $80,000 drive out (I know probably a pipe dream, but it’s overpriced here). I maybe will pay $82k or $83k here, but I’m willing to wait too.

I am about 9 months away from purchasing and got the bug for a M car. I have owned 5 Seven series and am about to sell my current one. I was thinking of going new this time and had my heart set on a M340i. I know, its a drastic change from a 750li but I wanted something different.
Looking at the prices now on 18 and 19 and its all over the place and I am scared not to get a CPO car.
What is the average depreciation on M cars and is it unrealistic to think i can get one in the mid 60's to 70k? I'm afraid if I get the 3, I may get tired of it soon. Nice car but in the US, you cant option merino, leather dash, power telescopic steering and window shades. Any advice is appreciated.

New idea. What about just a solid F10?

https://www.bmwoffairfax.com/certifi...445ecd1011.htm

Is around $50K reasonable for a certified 2016 F10 Competition with 38k miles?

What is the biggest difference between F10 and F90?
