This is not the case for me.
I was the first guy that installed this intake
Mine felt more responsive.
I did down pipes too which made a huge improvement on how it pulls. It really wakes her up.
To me it was worth every penny.

While the performance gains are minimal, the car should not feel slower or sluggish. Take it back to the installer ....
I was told by installer that the dme needs time to adapt to the new higher ram air effect from the intake before U can feel the improvement. Will monitor and see how is it

It took me a couple days to really start hearing the intake sound. Perhaps the filters need some aging. Were you driving on a hot day? I had the Eventuri and Remus installed back to back in a matter of two weeks and cannot tell any significant gains in terms of performance. Car is still wicked fast.

From my personal experience with previous cars and aftermarket intakes and exhuast systems, it doesnt really let you feel difference in performance. Maybe the improvements are quite subtle and usually I install these for better engine efficiency as well as the cosmetic omph when I pop the hood. I was just surprised to feel the car performing worse than before. Maybe it was a really hot day.

I just took the car out for a spin, felt back to normal, maybe the dme does need time to adapt. Or simply bcos its late at night and the air is way cooler.

I have also done multiple intakes on my M's over the years and the DME absolutely needs to adapt. I witnessed it for myself when I had my previous M5 on the dyno and and did a total of six pulls. After the first pull, it kept climbing until it maxed out.

I am interested in the Eventuri intake and some carbon fiber items - front spoiler and rear spoiler.

There were times where my car felt a little "sluggish" or probably slight hesitation that was intermittent... I have a sinking feeling that our cars do not like open intakes vs closed box - hence the update to the Eventuri... Had the extended pieces been available, I would've most likely kept the intake and just purchased the extenders... As it stands, I am happy with the gruppem and the car hasn't hesitated which seems to further solidify the closed vs open box theory... I'm not an engineer so take it for what it's worth... Beautiful quality intake however and I doubt there's going to be many disappointed people - minus the people who don't want an audible enhancement of debauchery...

Has any running v1 intakes purchased the Shrouds? Was there any noticeable difference, performance wise? The sound? What are you honest feedback. I'm currently running V1 intakes.

A bit more quiet. Cannot comment on performance.

Anyone know if this intake will fit the 2020+ m550i? I believe the airbox/intake layout is the same.

The engines arent laid out the same. Intakes look completely different. The inner circles is where it connects to the intake. The outer circles are the engine braces it connects literally right through the middle of.

That looks fairly similar to the 2020+ m550i, which is why I thought I would ask. See below.

That is the 2017-2019 m550i. They switched it in 2020 with the N63TU3 motor. The picture I posted above is the new layout. I believe the intake and airbox layout is the same as the S63T4 motor (2018+ m5) or very close to it.

I had a feeling that's what happened. Then ya it looks like it would probably work.

That's weird though cuz my picture is even the same one still on BMW website for the M550i and even when I searched 2021 M550i it's the same picture.
