Front windows tint scratched
So just noticed that now after 4 months of ownership I now have these gorgeous single lines on both my front windows. I had this issue on my AMG and it required some felt to be installed inside the door itself. But didn't get this on my X.
Anyone else with this issue?

Did you use a squeegee at a gas station? Classic way to scratch your windows as they NEVER clean those squeegees. Learned that on my '97 M3. Never again. Mike

More likely that some dirt or other gritty debris got stuck to the window gaskets and dragged along the window while opening/closing.
The best solution is to try to never roll down the windows, and if you do roll them down don't roll them all the way. |

ya its on the inside of the window in the tint. So not from a squeegie. And i figured it was dirt too except its in the exact same spot on both front windows. Now the driver side is worse than the passenger. I'll post pics later today, been stuck on the ship for a few days on duty.

I know the Panamera has the same issue and a piece of felt is the answer.
I had a '18 m5 that I had tinted in the rears and the window was definitely used and there weren't any scratches. But this is good to know as I will be tinting my '21 for sure. |

Ya I had to have felt installed on my C55 back in the day. But I haven't heard anyone with issues to date on the M5. Mist just be the extra thickness of the double ceramic layer. Either way frustrating. Love the tint. Damn near heat proof.
