why hasnt anyone used a wet shot?

what is the reason why people are using a dry shot and not a wet shot? wet is a lot safer so why are people using a dry? i have a wet shot system and im going back and forth if i should do wet or dry. the main reason why i want to do dry is because that is what everone is using but i rather do a wet. for the wet shot you have to tap into the fuel line, can someone tell me what line to tap into? is it part # 10 shown in this link?http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...83&hg=13&fg=15
if so im going to tacle the install as soon as i get my clutch replaced unless people have a good reson why no one has used a wet shot on our cars. PLEASE DONT GET OFF TOPIC
Thanks!!

Our cars are DI, maybe that fuel pressure has something to do with it? Only speculation though, I have no idea.

It is because they are increasing fuel through the tune. The guys running the jb3 are running different fuel resistors **i believe**

would you rely on a cheap nos kit to supply fuel or the sophisticated BMW ECU? Which would you trust your 20k engine to? Plus fuel can puddle in the intake and BOOM party is over.

Wet system is for vette's with big engine and 100hp+ shot. Small 35 shot dry system is the way to go for these car's IMO. So far the ECU seems to add fuel perfectly.

I think because everyone is running a low shot of NOS. Usually wet shots benefit those who want to run 60+ shots.

Just a shot in the dark but how? would a wet shot work with the intense pressures of DI? In this application a dry shot seems to just be a safer route over messing with the fuel system.

You tap before the HPFP, so in that way it "should" be ok. However, most believe the intake manifold on the N54 is too succeptable to puddling so most have avoided a wet shot including me for that exact reason.

that leads me to wonder what effect the nos would have on the hpfp with its bad track record already lol

Personally I highly doubt it would affect anything on the HPFP. If you had concern and wanted to go wet, then just upgrade the intank fuel pump with a walbro.

It's easier on this car just to do a small dry shot.

I dont really feel wet is any safer anymore, as it adds another point of failure, and you have start messing with fuel lines. Especially on a DI car which is simply a nightmare and not easily reversible.

I've dealt with dry shots personally on other cars ive owned, they were simple and easy. Not to mention they never failed.
