Angel Eyes on non xenon lights...possible?
Hi everyone!
Picked up 2006 325i as a replacement for 2002 325xi (destroyed in an accident). It came with regular lights (non xenon). Is it possible to attach OEM "angel eyes" to halogen headlights? Parts #s? If not, any suggestions on thirdparty kits? Thank you! |

It appears to me that the E90 headlights are glued together. Simply bake them and they will pop right open.
As for attaching aftermarket angel eyes, that has not been tested yet but you are welcome to try |

yeah, i was one of the attemptees at baking and breaking; the adhesive isnt heat sensitive as is found on other cars (I have taken apart lights on japanese cars in the past)
that being said, its doubtful you are going to see an angel eye kit soon, if at all, without offering a complete headlight replacement. The market for such a thing is a lot less when it is standard on the 330, and an option on the 325. |

Been there - done that on E46
Yup, still got the $350 E46 Angel Eyes kit sitting in the garage because the installl was way risky -- antbody wanna buy for $100 -- otherwise they'll be a scince project for the kids....
GO OEM every time - lights, sat radio, bluetooth, doesn't matter. Trying to be clever takes you to the poor-house most of the time with BMW. S |
