Intermittent no crank issue and fix
I had an issue with the car not cranking every now and then. 90% of the time it started no problem and then occasionally it just would not crank when I pressed the start button.
Then finally last week it did it and I got a message on the NAV screen that said, "Increased battery discharge!". So I pulled the battery and put it on my NOCO charger and after 12 hours it did not fully charge. So then I load tested the battery and found it to be borderline bad. So I looked online for various batteries and found this one from Advance Auto Parts because they always have great discount codes online and you can pick up in the store. So the battery was $216.00 with tax but with the TRT41 discount code I got $40.00 off and then when I went to pick up the battery at the store, they gave me $20.00 for the old battery so all together I paid $155.00 for a H8 AGM battery with a 3 year free replacement warranty. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/a...8-P#fragment-2 So I charged the new battery, installed it, and registered it with the Carly app and OBD adapter and all is good and it even starts faster, I guess I had not noticed that it was not cranking as it should.
