About 75% of the backorder was shipped last week (14th & 17th ship dates). The balance of the backorder will be shipped this week. Will be a couple additional on the shelf at that point with the next run of production scheduled for Mid-April so we should be golden for awhile at that point.

Just picked my car up from the dealer after install and sounds like a decent upgrade to the exhaust note. Definitely a higher pitched sound now which I definitely like more. I wanted a small increase in sound but nothing outrageous because I do daily it and wanted to keep the comfort of that. Perfect little upgrade in my opinion.

Just ordered the Dinan Resonator Delete Kit from Mike @ Extreme Power House, I figured it's a good start before I venture into an axle or cat back exhaust.

will this fit the m performance exhaust if you are trying to delete the middle resonator? I am talking about titanium one not m sport.

Never been tested in house so I couldn't say for certain one way or another but I would assume the routing/pipe placement between the stock/M-Sport and MPE would be the same so therefore compatible.

@Dinan_Engineering
@mike@x-ph.com
for what its worth, i placed an order when these were originally released. after 7 "coming in 2 weeks", "next month" delays i canceled it and went with a Remus exhaust. Trust me, go to a muffler shop and get a similar setup for the same price if not cheaper.

I can't help you with that, please send your order number to support@x-ph.com and they will check for you.

Our website has live inventory, it won't let you order unless the Dinan item is in stock.

I’ve considered doing the same thing but wonder if there is much difference at all since there isn’t a whole lotta “resonator” on the MPE to begin with, but since both systems are stainless steel at that section, I would think most muffler shops could do it. Pease report back if you do!

Can you confirm it is stainless steel in that section ? I was trying to find a titanium welder if it’s stainless steel it might be easy to do ? I tried doing the magnet test and it’s slightly magnetic.

I can’t 100% confirm, no. But I just know it’s been brought up several times on this forum how the MPE is only titanium axle back so honestly I’m going by this and believe it to be true myself.

Were you able to confirm where the titanium is only from axle back?

On my 23 M5 competition window sticker, it says that it has a MPE, and I just bought a dinan x pipe, will this be an issue, especially if cutting?

Thanks

I don’t think you’ll have an issue but your shop can tell right away. If it doesn’t work for some reason you shouldn’t have any trouble selling the x pipe. PLEASE post back with your results though as others including myself are highly interested!

I have MPE with secondary downpipes and have been contemplating this x pipe forever but can’t find any testimony from anyone as to if it’s “too much” in the sound department with it on this combo. I want a deeper louder tone particularly at low rpm and idle but don’t want more pops and bangs, drone, or Harley loud sitting in traffic!

Shop told me the midpipe is in fact stainless parts of the exhaust are titanium which is only the rear section. I’m waiting to get a date to do some welding on my center resonator I will keep you posted. He is using straight through stainless steel pipes.

I am curious if there’s any use or value on the resonator once it’s replaced by the x pipe?

Should I throw it away in the trash?

I didn't do a bad job
