In all honesty, to make a little bit of money, and I'm just nervous to drive it. I bought the car while I was in Germany. I enjoyed it while I was there, but now that I'm back in the State, I'm just afraid to drive it here. There's no order to this madness. Also, people don't respect another's property.

So, I don't want to turn my cars into garage queen. I owned BMW M cars, Porsches and Bentleys and all of them were DD with zero issues. In my opinion it's plain stupid to pay thousands of dollars and not enjoy it.

Mechanically, the car is sound, so no one needs to worry about that.

Completely understand what you mean. The reason I don't have pictures is I forgot to take them before I shipped my car from Germany. I also figure that people would know thing, or two about CS models.

That 100k mark up is crap. For a dealer to do that is just wrong and BMW should step in.

Drove it in Europe for about a month. Drove it from Port in Brunswick to Augusta. Will drive it to CarMax on Monday for an offer.

There is no longer European delivery, so when you say it was driven in Europe, was this car a dealer's demo over there? Were you working over there and purchasing the car to bring over here?

Concur. I love the Sport 4S's, and specified them for my CS. They were "configurable" from the factory order system, as were red or gold calipers, and paint. The defaults are the Brands Hatch Metallic (gloss), red calipers, and michelin tires. I preferred the defaults for mine.

Cars sits in the garage and it's only being driven in my neighborhood. It's not pleasurable to drive this on shite East coast roads. I have to keep my distance from cars, or had to drive super slow, all because rocks on the roads. Richest country in the world with 3rd world roads. I miss German roads and autobahns.

Personally, i'd keep it for now if you can afford to. If you are still looking to unload it by the spring, i'd definitely be a buyer (if i don't purchase a different owner's car instead). I think this car will continue to hold its value because it looks like a proper BMW compared to the G82 M3 and it will always be the fastest ICE bmw (not including its fantastic handling).

Did you buy it brand new? I thought you picked this up from a dealer who used it as a personal car for a thousand or two miles before selling it to you. Maybe I'm mixing that up with a different American-in-Germany thread.

Either way, nice car. I'd guess it goes for US sticker, maybe 10k over that. Should be a tidy profit still. (I think we're seeing signs of cooling on markup on new and slightly used cars. Seeing the same early indicators on some p cars too.)

Its still just a supply demand situation. Orders for these cars were widely available at MSRP back in the spring. Just like M4 CSL reserve spots are pretty widely available at MSRP now. BMW dealers are largely easy to work with on special cars, you will just pay a laziness tax if you decide to wait to order.
