So I guess we are at the point that you can't find a car for MSRP?

I've emailed a few dealers about 22 M5C's and they all want over MSRP.

I took my mine yesterday for service and the dealer seemed very content with not having any inventory because they are making way more per car now. This may have started as a shortage but it's quickly turned into them gouging on price it seems.....

Unbelievable times....

I recently was offered MSRP on a '21 that was stuck at the port and just got to the dealership. By the time
I finished all the paperwork the dealer GM already sold it to a friend.

They are honoring the same deal on a '22 build allocation though…but my build date went from this week to indefinite due to a claimed "parts shortage"

I feel so fortunate and blessed to have picked up my 2022 M5 when production first started.

Supply and Demand effects SOME sectors of our economy. I wish I could charge more when my "supply is low" but I cannot.

I just went and found a good lease assumption. I plan on doing it with my next F90 next year too. Leave the dealers in the dust.

Ordered my 22 M5C at MSRP Tuesday. Tried for a discount but that was a really empathetic no. I'm just thankful to be able to order one. 😎

I got 1% off and free tint. Not sure how my dealer is going to keep the lights on.

Hendricks dealers don't mark up at least that's what they say at least for new. Now there is a pre-owned Plaid for 30k over sticker.

They might not mark up, but Hendrick dealers charge more than everyone else in my experience. I had to get my M5 in FL to find a better deal.

I was able to negotiate just under 2% off for my M5C at my Hendricks BMW store. I think it's the same all over, I reached out to a few different dealers back in July when I ordered and they were all at MSRP, no questions allowed. Supply is tight.

As john said they offered me 11% off a ultimate pack car but 6-12 months wait in UK, better than Porsche though!

Yeah I'm in the market of a 2019 and up car and I've now had 2x where I bascially offered their asking... and somehow they came back and increased the price - saying they reevaluated current market and realized they priced too low. I've never seen that before.

Please tell me no one is really going to shell out that kind of money on the CS? Is it possible it’s the dealership owners car that he has no real intention of selling or something?

Remember the M4 GTS? People paid absurd markup on those and it didn't get any of the positive press the M5CS does.

BMW taking a page from Porsche GT division - make multiple iterations of a great car - and it will sell. Right or wrong.. people will buy a low volume super specialized car.

This "parts supply shortage" is getting way out of hand. The sad thing is dealers are getting away with capitalizing on this whole situation. It's business vs ethics. Over MSRP is not ethical lol.

Now is a TERRIBLE time to buy pretty much anything but especially luxury items. It's just ridiculous the gouging going on. I'm a Swiss watch enthusiast and I watched this same sort of thing happen years ago, mainly w/ Rolex, and it's still going strong. Nothing can be had for msrp anymore. So sad... supply and demand is a real bitch...

I was able to buy an M5C at sticker today off the showroom floor. Only half a point markup on the financing. Didn't mind paying the half point given how nuts the market is right now. Will end up selling it in a year or two max.
