Sell the F90 for a 911 Turbo S??
Has anyone made this move or have both? I’m talking the 992 newest gen turbo S…. Ive been reading and watching reviews on it, it appears to be a phenomenal performance car that would make a good daily as well…
Ive put my name down for one, they are still a good 15-18 months away… I’m hoping to do European delivery as that has been a long term goal. Any guys have experience with this? |

Excellent car, I've driven a 992 Turbo (not the S) and it was fantastic from a pure driver's perspective, the 992 updates look great...I'm just personally not quite ready to rock one yet, haha, maybe in 5 years if I'm still buying nice cars. I also need a four door as I've only got one car at a time, so it eliminated the 911 Turbo S from my search.
From sheer driver enjoyment factor every time you get behind the wheel, and if two doors is plenty of doors, then I think I you'd be hard pressed to fault the S. Low 10's stock, high 9's with just a tune, mid 9's with downpipes, but more importantly they're unreal machines in every aspect if you've got a place to really push them. The feedback from the whole car is excellent - not gonna fault you for that move!

Personally I am already considering selling the SLK55 as a deposit for it. Thats my wife's toy, but only has less then 50K in cdn, not miles. So i'm sure she'll love the upgrade. she won't complain, and I'll probably end up driving that more then the m5 |

If you don't need full rear seats, then it's an easy answer. In fact, if you don't need rear seats at all, get a GT4.
If I didn't have two kids still in car seats, I'd be in a 911 GTS. Perfection imho

M5 is a practical car that can go fast.
911 is a fast car that has SOME practicality (but not much). But maintenance costs can be a bear. And the insurance on it is not kind. Shawn |

I made the move from a 2018 M5 to a 2019 Turbo S.
Just be sure of what you want and need prior to the change. IMHO, the M5 is the best saloon car on the planet and I would buy it again in a heartbeat if I needed 4 seats. BY FAR the best 4 seater I have ever owned. Awesome interior with full leather, awesome V8Tt. Handles great for the size. The 911 is a totally different ride. Forget the rear seats unless you have a tiny child. Utility is not close to the M5, even just getting groceries. The 911 is totally about the driving experience. It’s like owning your own carnival ride….daily….a 5200rpm clutch drop launch in the PDK is off the hook.1.5x sixty on the street. An automatic, manual transmission is incredible. Plus the steering, brakes , handling, etc. A total package. My insurance was within $250 per year of the M5. My annual vehicle taxes are twice as much for the political thieves. |

I've owned both, and agree with the comments. Insurance is only slightly higher, maintenance isn't bad. Oil change is ~$250, build quality is very robust…mine has never been in the shop.
I would say the maintenance cost is similar…a Ferrari now, that's on an entire different level. I've owned a 997 Turbo S and have a 997 GT2 today. Amazing cars. |

I have a relative with a collection of Ferrari's. They are works of art, truly automotive masterpieces... but Porsche is just damn perfect. Except the cost, and a la carte $$$$$$ for a respectable build
