I realize his point of view is supposed to be the "self-loathing guy with questionable takes and reviews", but to say much if anything is bad about the F90 is unfiltered horse-shit.

Questionable M5C Take

He was grasping at things to not like. Annoying.

Ha, I am selling my Alpina B7 when my 22M5C gets here.

This is the problem that most reviewers bring up, that it's too customizable. I for one love having a m1 mode that's kill, and m2 for everything else which is dialed in EXACTLY how I want it to be. It downshifts exactly where I want it to, the suspension and everything else, is exactly as I want it to be. At this point, C&D, R&T, all of them are just so biased and silly I don't even waste time on them anymore. Go drive it and see if you like it yourself.

Real question for me is what is the new M5 gonna be like?

I love the customization too. It's awesome and I never understood the criticism.

I wish that they did a better job with the display, that the m mode display can be a saved setting with the M buttons (the deletion of this feature in the LCI is unforgivable). I also wish there was a rear drive mode WITH DSC active. Would be truly usable rear drive like that.

Same. It would definitely be cool to be able to “play” a bit in RWD, without having to worry about driving into a nest of squirrels.

Funny right. I can speak from having owned both that they are no where near the same car and has nothing to do with finances for those choosing one or the other. I paid cash for both my last M5 and the Alpina B7. Immediately after driving the Alpina B7 I missed my M5 and wanted it back to the point that I reached out to the person I sold it to and offered to buy it back for more than I sold it for.

Alpina is a very soft ride, tons of bells and whistles, my 6 year loves having all the same features in the back as I do in front with AC seats and massage seats but the M5 is just so much more of a drivers car. Plenty of features and the nice blend between large enough for comfort but small enough for the ultimate driving experience.
