M5 Base, Dealer Updated The Software

Was at the dealer this week for an issue that I have been trying to resolve. One of the things that was done while the car was with the foreman, was all the software was updated to the current revision. My car is a 2018 base with AWE cat back and cat-less secondary downpipes.

Since the software update I noticed the exhaust note is much different, the sport plus overruns are now much louder and more of pops and gun shots as before it was loud rumbles. I noticed the revs while in park is much more aggressive now too.

The question I have, are these updates that come on the newer models or did the foreman accidentally give me the Competition tune?

Not complaining, just curious lol.

I think they did the software update because they did the fuel sensor recall.

Is there any way to find out if this update has already been performed?
