I could, but videos never do exhaust sound justice.

Yes, the valve button does help, but on a cold start, it’s still loud.

On the highway underway, the button does make a difference.

It is US spec.

Caramel was discontinued as an option in M5s after 2020, so that was a special request.

The light brown wood trim was only ever available outside US, so that was also a special request.

Read through the rest of the posts and I outline the additional costs for each to be done.

Whether or not your specific dealer is willing to negotiate it is another story altogether. It is possible though.

After experiencing the difficulty my dealer had trying to get the approval for the leather and trim, I can’t understand why you are trying to deal with it yourself.
And I’m pretty sure approval came from Germany, not BMW NA.

I’m not really dealing with it myself. Will get the dealer involved. I know someone at BMW NA that has been helpful in the past. I don’t even have a build slot yet.

I think the rack rate for any “custom” uph is 10k plus the OE full leather, so 13k or so.
Caramel isn’t custom it’s just currently unavailable in the F90.
It’s not like you’re asking to color match your interior to a swatch off your Jordans.

The exhaust button does only two things when paired with MPE, since the MPE deletes the physical valves that the standard and sport exhausts have:

1. Generates loud crackles and pops on decel, when also in Sport-Plus mode.
2. Increases volume and deepens the tone of the fake ASD audio pumped into the cabin.

The button does not make the outside exhaust tone any louder or deeper on MPE.

Generally speaking, the MPE has a nice almost exotic sound. Higher pitched primary frequency than other popular cat-backs. There is a verrrry slight drone at high freeway speeds in highest gear. Downshifting one gear will typically eliminate it.

I totally agree on the trunk badge, it doesn’t stand out as much on the darker shades. Your car is beautiful! The color reminds me of my Regal Peacock Green Chevy SS/Holden Commodore (RIP).

Thanks. Now after living with the new trunk badge for a while - the grille surrounds, front grille small ///M5 badge and side vents were bothering me.
So I ordered new side vents and a complete new comp grille with the surrounds and grille badge painted by IND in the same color as the trunk badge.
Oh, and they're going to paint the center piece between the grille Oxford Green too!

It may be pushing the limit of looking like a CS a little, but I don't care. I would never misbadge something, but I do like the bronze accents of the CS, so I'll call this an ///M5 Custom.

New grille - painted surrounds and grille badge in the same Porsche Gold Bronze Metallic as the trunk badge. Center portion painted body color Oxford Green to form a visual separation of the grilles.

Had to do a little surgery to swap grille badge mounts to include the competition portion.

Thanks to IND for a flawless paintjob, especially at the color transitions.

Also, thanks to Almaretto again for enabling my DRLs with turn signals, among other things.

Thank you! I was torn between BRG and Oxford, but I really wanted the Caramel and the Sen light brown wood trim would have been a deal breaker if I couldn't get it. (It was only available to EU market, so took some negotiation to put on US order)
