Nope not at all because you will do the correct "plus size" where you drop the profile of the tire because you are adding more rim. The gap will be practically the same that I ran on the OEM wheels and M550i springs.

Just to be sure, the model number for H&R springs is HR-28721-2?

Thanks

Think I read your thread 2x times now lol. Was going to ask your thoughts between OEM M5 comp springs / h&r's M5 and these h&r m550i springs but you didn't have comp springs to start with. The stock M5 none comp springs look high as hell compared to the comp springs, bet the ride was nice. Anyway, have you noticed these started to drop more so on their own as time / miles went on?

Sorry but I sold the F90 last year. My car had the old dampers and the 2020 dampers with the M8 valving is much better from what Ive been told with the drop and because I have an M8 too

As for settling, nothing really changed over miles while I had them on the car....H&R is pretty static.

Can anyone send me links to some spacers to go with the H&R 550 springs?

Looking for 15mm front and 12mm rear.

Thanks!

Hard to say as Ive owned them all at different times... except for now where I still have the G8X and the M8 Coupe...

They all benefit from different things:

M8/F90 brutal engine and decent oem exhaust, very fast, and luxurious inside with very unique looks (the M8's)

G80's- engine that begs to be rev'd, nimble and drives above its weight, exhaust which is not great, and interior that is slightly less luxurious in nature.

The days I drive the M3, I am all smiles but when I get in the M8- I have equal smiles.

I didnt have my M5 when I first got the Gran Coupe M8 back in 2020.

I would have considered a G80 AWD if they had been available when I bought my M5. More athletic feeling due to the lighter weight and using RPM will access the power. Modded, the 3.0L I6 may hold as much or more power than the 4.4L V8 before blowing up. But I like the practicality/utility of the M5 — you can get more stuff into it than the M3 and it is more comfortable but still handles decently and is definitely fast.

Yeah its the hammer vs the scalpel effect in full force. The G8X is leaps and bounds better than the F82 (I had a comp) and even the RWD G8X has incredible grip at the limits.
