It sure didn't look or feel fake.
did you wrap it, or hire someone? how much is just the roll ?
I hired someone to do it. I don't recall the price but it certainly wasn't prohibitively expensive.

Solid color combo. I've got a Fashion grey X Tartufo M5 LCI awaiting production start. I wish there was an actual CF trim option like I have on my M4. I optioned my M5 with Piano Black trim. I felt it was the best matching trim, although the inability to keep it spotless may drive me insane, I didn't want the aluminum trim with such a gorgeous interior. Curious to see the fitment and quality of this. 750 seems too good to be true. Hopefully it doesn't rattle.

I had the aluminum hexagon trim from my F30 replaced with CF by a forum member years ago. Excellent quality. I'll look him up, and see if he's still doing it. I sent all my trim to him, which he then replaced with CF, and mailed back to me, so I didn't have to worry about fitment. I found some cheap random trim on the forums to throw on my car while I waited for the new stuff lol. Reasonable price too. About 1.5 week turnaround. It looked OE imho

Can't remove M5 trim to send off as it's plastic welded. My dealer won't even do it to do warranty work. They just ordered a whole new door panel.

My 2018 M5's shifter looks different than yours. Would it cause an issue with fitment?
