Aftermarket steel brake pads

I'm looking for aftermarket pads that simply dust less than the stockers. I already know about Porterfields and I'm on the verge of getting them and trying them out, but I was just wondering are there any other brands out there? Thanks

I was in the same spot and decided to go with Racing Brake pads. Sounds like similar low dust/noise as Porterfields and no fitment/install issues reported. Haven't had a chance to install yet so will report back once they're on.

Ceramic pads are the best for low dust if any are available for the F90.

I have Porterfields on mine, no complains. Less brake dust and not squeaking.

I have to 1+ these pads as well. Decent braking, much less noise, and low dust.

So are these better than the Porterfields? Why are they specified as being for Iron rotors? Would they be that much different from steel pads?

These are definitely better than the Porterfields for braking. For dust? I can't say. RacingBrake pads are designed for high torque and high performance braking. The ones for iron rotors are for the metal rotors, the ceramics are for the ceramic rotors. Porterfields are a ceramic PAD designed for decent braking but low dust.

Just out of curiosity, how long do the stock rotors generally last? When I purchased the car the finance guy tried to tell me that I would need rotors "soon" when he was trying to sell me a maintenance plan. My car has 32k on the odo so that seemed pretty early.

My first front set lasted 2 track seasons. That was about 16 track days.

The dealer will want to replace pads and rotors as a set. That's about $2000. A bit much. I do pads only, but I track regularly, and can do them myself (it's a little harder than the regular old brakes, but not impossible)

Wait till the pads get low (the sensors will tell you when) and then decide if you will go against the advice of doing rotors and pads together. It's up to you, honestly, unless the rotors are below minimum thickness, then it's not safe to do just pads.
