Winter tire recommendation...

Posted this on wheel/tire forum and received no responses... so posting in general forum.

Hello,
I searched here and just wanted to get a confirmation from this group.
I purchased 706m 20" wheels to use for winter. At the same time was looking at the winter tire options. For winter, narrower the tire, the better… not interested in RTFs... at the same time, I wanted to go with square setup with OEM 9.5/10.5" wheels. OE tires looks somewhat stretched on the rear wheel so going with 275 tire on rear wheel will look off... below are 285mm square setup tire options... Pirelli’s (no 275 available in Sotto3) looks like a proven choice based on F90 forum and Tirerack reviews… Pilots seem to be overpriced while 285s are on backorder @ $470 a tire … anyone has experience with Vredestein (275s only size available) as Tirerack has limited number of reviews?
Thank you for the feedback on any of my points and questions.

You're looking to run a 285 square setup? I wouldn't. Go 265 square.

This is what I got for my '21 M5C.

Can't beat the price. They're painted, but I'd put black steelies on for winter, if I could. Comes premounted with The Michelin Alpins - they are awesome.

Look up part # 36-11-0-003-049

thank you for the response and recommendation... I already purchased OEM 706m 20" wheels... so was just looking at tires... and yes, planning to go with 285 square tire setup on staggered OEM wheels 9.5"/10.5"

BMW recommends doing 265 up front if 275 is not available.
Why not just do 265/285 on the already staggered wheels?

only 265/30 is available so no go as sidewall height will decrease about 20% plus rolling diameter will change by 5%
