Break-in Service: Any differences between M5 CS and M5?
Folks - Just scheduled my M5 CS break-in and was curious if anyone was aware of any break-in procedure differences between M5 CS and the other F90 models?
When I brought my previous F90 to the dealer for the break-in, it was a very new 2018 and the dealer had not performed any break-in services yet for similar F90's. They inadvertently (based on BMW NA guidance, apparently) used the wrong hypoid in the rear diff and the rear diff seized up and needed replacing. Really looking to avoid that as the car sat stationary for some time while the new rear diff was manufactured and shipped from Germany; I can only imagine how lengthy that process is now with all of the shortages. Thanks!!

Why would there be any difference? Engine, differential, transmission are the same. No break in servicing is required for the weight reducing parts or for the retuned suspension.
