21" as an option on the next M5 F90 ?
Would anyone knows if the 21"s will be available as an option for the F90
I'm asking since I'm thinking to upgrade my 19"s to a set of 20"s from Vorsteiner and install them on the F90 next year. Thanks |

BMW has changed from 5x120 bolt pattern to 5x112, so your wheels won't fit the next M5.

Yes, newest 7 series, 5 series and X1 ( and some 2 series not in the US) has 5x112 bolt pattern.

In regard to the question about 21" on the F90, I assume we'll only see 19" and 20" from the factory, just like on the F10 M5 and with the same size tires.

I'm sure you can get an adapter plate that also seconds as a spacer, so not to worry.

It would have to be a really thick adapter for it to be able to bolt the wheel onto it (5x120) and then the adapter to the car (5x112).

Depends on the pattern's exact bolt layout - as long as the bolts aren't "overlapping" you only need 1x the thread depth just in different places. ECS sells "adapter plates" for a bunch of sizes.

Offset is the issue. Easier to use an MB wheel with the correct spacing. |
