Carbon fiber mirror caps ppf?

I have never had carbon fiber anything on the front of any car until my M5 on order. Curious to know if ppf is necessary on the CF mirrors or is the CF hard enough on its own?

Thanks in advance!

You don't mention whether the rest of the car, or a portion of it will get PPF, but if the CF has a smooth, not tactile surface, without peaks and valleys, you should absolutely have PPF applied nonetheless if you are doing the rest of the car, or even the front portion. CF can sometimes be somewhat hard, but definitely not hard enough to survive a strong rock chip without the surface getting marred.

Thanks. Yes, I was planning on getting the whole front done. Just wasn’t sure about the mirrors being CF. Appreciate the info.

If you're getting the whole front done anyways, absolutely have the CF parts done (again, assuming a smooth surface).

You're welcome!

My entire car, including every CF piece, is PPF'd.

absolutely PPF. Them tires are super sticky and when you turn at all they send all them pebble right up at the mirrors and along the quarterpanel.
