"Remote not detected" and phone also doesn't connect...

Hey Everyone,

I am having intermittent issues (about 10% of the time) where I get into my car, start the engine, then I get an alert on my screen saying that the key remote not detected. The message usually goes away in a few seconds on its own, but then I noticed that whenever this happens, my phone won't connect to the car. Even if I manually try to reconnect the device, it won't work.

The next time I go into the car as usual everything works fine as long as I don't get that "remote control missing" error.

I remember reading on here something about an auxiliary antenna that may be defective, but couldn't find anything when I searched, any input would be great so I can guide my SA.

Thanks!

I've had the "remote not detected" pop up on occasion as well. I hit the okay button and carry on. Not sure what's causing this.

I've experienced this as well and the dealer could not reproduce so nothing was done. The annoying part is the car wont connect via Bluetooth when this happens.

The work around I found is to press the lock/unlock buttons on the key fob itself and the car quickly connects to the phone via Bluetooth and everything is normal. If I don't do this, everything is fine minus the Bluetooth connection.

Thanks for that work-around! I will try that next time it happens.

The fact that it is intermittent makes it super difficult to have the dealer diagnose.
