This is a strange one. It never happens on my Blackberry standalone. But twice now I have been talking in the BMer which is bluetooth connected to my Blackberry and an inbound call comes directly in with no ring or sound, and silently answers the new call and drops the old. More than a bit embarassing as you never you who you might be saying what to??!!........ Has anyone with any phone device had this problem and have some ideas on a quick fix??

No it is not ..........and yet many people apparently use them succesfully ........ other functions appear to work well.vocie commands ...... dialing from the bberry keyboard ..... I have not downloaded the name list yet ....... the folks in Spartanburg have delivered quite a few vehicles after setting up BBerry's on them. Guess I could try my wifes Razor....which is on the list and see what is happening. I have seen some blackberry users on this site in the past ........ hoping they might have seen and/or solved the issue.

What model Blackberry and carrier, and what version of the OS is the device using? I have a Cingular BB 7290 running v. 4.0.2.49 and it works quite well, in fact better than my Moto Razr ever has (of course the address book function does not download to the car, but I have not found that to be a problem). My device performed poorly and inconsistantely until I updated the device software package. You probably know this already, but I'll just throw it out there in case you don't. Best of Luck.

Hi BigPap ......... I am running a 7290 as well ....rel level v4.0.0.219......works very well with bmw btooth except for this call swap issue........can you think of any settings thatmight cause this? On either the BMW side or the BBerry side ..... again the BBerry does not do this standalone.? Would seem to nme some setting on the BMW is doing an auto press on call waiting or something??

If you think the BBerry upgrade might help ...... how do I download, can you get me started? Thanks a lot!

Big Pop ..... I have not been able to import my phone book yet from my BB ......you indicated you had not succeeded as well. Have you been able to input names and numbers directly into the iDrive phone Book, independent of the BBerry? I would like to be able to voice call 20 to 30 numbers by name. I have not been able to find how to do this in the manual?

Any guidance you can give me would be appreciated!
