My New HREs

Finally took some pictures of my gloss charcoal HREs. I was nervous going grey wheels on grey car, sometimes you can fail. Even though I don't mind the monochromatic look that some cars had in the 90s, lol.
I didn't want to match my OEM black. I wouldn't step out of the box for red or gold wheels.
Interesting how the evening setting sun on the matte wrap changes the color of the car in the pictures. Don't know which color / picture I like best.

Thanks for your reply. With the CCB, Akropovic and HRE, it is over 100lbs lighter. It needs a tune, still deciding which one.

Looks near perfect... Get the H&R F90 lowering springs and spacers (15MM front / 12MM rear) and that wheel well will flow perfectly! I also have the CCB but have yet to change the exhaust or get a tune. Was delivered this March, going to live with it for the rest of the summer before any more mods...

Go with DME you can't find a better company from

Thanks. The wheels are 20". My whole build and mods are based around reducing weight. 21s were slightly more weight which I didn't want.

Hey, how do you like the Macan. "we" have a 2018 GTS as well. As much as I like cornering in the M5, I am very suprised how hard I can put that Macan into a corner and it always takes it. Otherwise the M5 is preferred on all other accounts. Maybe the Porsche beats my M5 on stereo sound as well.

It's really great. I still find myself fighting my wife to drive it. The air suspension and overall handling are dialed in so well. It's scary good. We actually drove the Turbo, and my wife preferred the GTS, ha! I also got her the COBB tune, but she says she doesn't need it

Planning on replacing the F80 with an F90 next year, so I'm digging around now for color and mod ideas. Really love yours, and have always been a sucker for those HREs.

Car looks great!! This might be a long shot, but I spoke with a guy a few years ago on Terwillegar Dr and he was driving a Macan GTS (he mentioned it was his wifes car). He also mentioned he had a F90 on order.. I was in a black satin wrapped 2014 M5 Comp.

Wondering if that was you, if so, holy small world!

I remember that. I did get my F90 summer 2018 and don't drive it enough as our company has us working from home now. Only had it at the track once, but want to do that more often. Is there a BMW club in Edmonton or an spot that most hang out?

Haha that's awesome, small world!! I sold my F10 and picked up a MBB F90!

As for clubs, there is BMW enthusiasts Alberta on Facebook.. other than that, I'm not too sure.
