I would if I'd park outside and it's windy but I park in an insulated garage so never any problems ... many vehicles that have to park outside will have electric battery and block heaters (which are not offered on M5's). This is also why people like automatic car starters (again not offered on M5's) so when the engine gets a certain temperature the car will automatically start to warm up the engine so it doesn't freeze up.
