2022 BMW M5 CS walkaround and showcase

Hey guys,

A M5 CS came through a delivery bay so i took some time and made a walk-around video of it.

Enjoy!

Black calipers were an option in Canada? Here in the US our choice was either gold or red.

Again, nice informative video this time on the M5CS. It's just ironic to me to have such a vehicle without the creature comforts of power tailgate, B&W sound, rear and side sunshades and soft close doors. How significant of a weight savings do you get by taking those features out and curious to see how many M5CS owners will be buying this strictly for tracking only where weight savings is a must. For exclusivity, yes.

Aside from exclusivity, I think a fully loaded M5C will be more bang for the buck. I am under the impression the M5CS is selling above MSRP due to limited production and release.

Well, not everyone cares about those features. Honestly, I don't need the power tailgate, have never optioned the upgraded sound and don't need sunshades (window tint works fine for me). Soft close doors, well, everyone in my family slams car doors anyway. So, again, another option that I didn't care if it was included or not.

On the M3CS the only thing that I wished I had was the comfort access, so I am glad that is available on this one.

I doubt anyone is buying this car strictly for the track. For me, I loved my F10 M5. It was the most comfortable M car I ever owned. I also absolutely loved my M3CS (sold it this weekend). The way I see it, the M5CS is a perfect combination of both those cars.

For all the people out there who are disappointed with the lack of features/creature comforts, this car just isn't meant for you. I never understand why people talk negatively about a car just because it doesn't check every box for them. They aren't mass producing the M5CS, so they don't need to even try to make every BMW customer happy.

Kinda like a Ferrari owner bashing Ferrari for making the Pista after they made the regular 488.

Getting mine at MSRP (got on the list for the car 3 years ago) and sold my M3CS for above the buyout so I am considering that equity as the "discount" since the used market is so insane right now. I've heard dealers asking anywhere from MSRP to $30k over.

Saw your video yesterday night and enjoyed it. Apart from the 22 times you said it's a beast. Lol just kidding.

I was trying to figure out where in North America you were, because I wasn't sure if USA offers the car with laser lights. But we don't have that option here which kinda sucks. I got thrown off by the Denver name. Canada is lucky to have deliveries already.

Yes this is normal for all new cars. They usually have 30-90km on them depending how much they needed to be moved before landing in the delivery bay.

Translates to 31 miles. Not excessive. I had 17 and I order the car and told the dealership no test drives or joy riding by the sales staff.

thats crazy low. I guess it's just the logistics of the cars that come to my dealership.

My F85 X5M had something like 5-6km if I remember well.

Yes, it's all about logistic.
I guess it all depends if the car was loaded/unloaded a few times from truck, how far was the cargo boat at port...

I thought it was 440 or 450 for the US. But, I don't think I ever saw anything official.
