M2CS
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com The m5cs would be primarily a track and weekend car for me. I'm wondering how well they do on track weekends or if they suffer from heat issues or anything of the like. I know based on the size it'll eat tires up quickly, but I suppose I'd be ok with that. Cons that come to mind - size of car - automatic Pros - Power - AWD - V8 TT Anyone else go from a m2cs to a m5cs?

Brake costs. The CCBs will wear just like steel rotors on the track. Not sure how long they will actually last but you're looking at like $20K to replace them when the time comes.

if you're a track guy, i dont see why you would go from M2 to M5. M5 is too big of a vehicle to track effectively. "Technically" you could, but why?
I can't wait for the responses.' If you want to buy the M5 and mod it for some 1/4 and roll racing, yeah sure. But an actual course, no way. Keep M2. |

It's fast on a straight away and good around corners, but it's still to big for race track. On the roads it's a very fine machine.
If this was built as track machine, wouldn't BMW use it for races instead of M6, or M4
