Yeah that's normal. Think of production more like a seesaw.

Were you given a production number? You might get an actual status from the genies or your CA can pull up the exact status with a vehicle inquiry report. It sounds like your car had a build week assigned but no longer does.
I ordered early August with a build week of 38 and it did end up making it to the port this week (so probably not a wide spread delay going on). A red flag would be if they give you a 47 status which means BMW rejected the order due to lack of an allocation for that dealership. Then you go back and forth until the dealership actually gets an allocation and chooses to use it for you. Last edited by Hachima; 09-19-2022 at 11:32 PM.. |

The number of emotional roller coasters I went on because of this LOL…as everyone else has said, it's normal, albeit extremely frustrating. I canceled my ordered car in the end due to the back and forth once I found my identical spec for sale in another state (at a higher price, but available for acquisition immediately). You'll proceed forward just fine though!

This happened several times during my almost one year journey from order to delivery.

I started a thread on this a year ago - 333 posts and 10's of thousands of views - unfortunately, a lot more common than you'd think:
https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1844508 Interestingly, I've got a production number for a 23. I was supposed to be an early September build, now pushed to week 42. Mine today JUST switched to scheduled for production. Unfortunately, I think there are still some major supply chain issues at play here. I've learned to take a lot of patience pills. Maybe we'll be built close to the same time together.

Maybe I am lucky, I ordered a 2023 in Mid July with B&W and the car should be at the dealer here on the west coast within a week or two
