I used AGS's helpful instructions to install a radar detector via mirrortap and just applied it to my Blackvue DR900S dashcam by using a different mirrortap cable. Actually, in past cars I've used the MTX-2020 mirrortap cable for this application but this time I decided to save a few bucks and try a similar cable by Radar Mount also available on amazon and its works just as well and will wave you $30. I did not want to stick the adhesive mount that came with the Blackvue dashcam so I ordered the BBV-3032 aluminum rearview mirror mount specifically designed for the F90 and Blackvue dash cams from BlendMount.

Super easy install, and only took 30 minutes, with clean clutter-free results.

I installed the two camera version. Great video quality. You get it working with your car internet connection? Mine links to car and also to my house WiFi, but cannot connect it to my work wifi due to security. They need to work on their software a bit to make logging on to secure networks possible. It currently just asks for ROUTER name and password, as opposed to Router without password and account name and password. Maybe someday they will update it.

I went old school and took shit apart. I wanted the battery minder and the rear camera. I have the thing wired to a hot fuse for 'parking mode.' and switch fuse also. The device monitors your battery and shuts down the camera below a preset voltage. And also can be set for a time max. I also ran an extra long micro USB wire from the mirror area to the arm rest storage site where the USB slot is. So I can connect my GoPro with live power. I just have not take the time to move the switch box to the drivers side, there is plenty of wire length, I can reach the switch easy enough where it is. I have a thread posted on the break down needed. My radar is currently attached with mirror tap, with the blue tooth dongle attached to the side of the VI. I could not find a good spot for the hidden display so I did not install it. The mirror tap is a great way to do it for sure.

Are they tiny? I was hoping to find something tiny with the 'gut's hidden in the glove box or something similar to minimize the camera appearance. No such animal is made yet....

I already have a radar connected to my mirror. Anyone else running radar and dash cam to the same exact mirror tap?
